Acne and Exercixe - The Problem of
Moisture

When it comes to problems of acne outbreak in regards to
physical exercising, we've been repeatedly talking about the
problem of sweating and corresponding bacteria built-up on the
skin if we cannot ensure a more or less sufficiant
ventilation.
Especially sweat based moisture is an extremely good
breeding ground for all kinds of harmful bacteria.
To make a long story short, moisture is one of the key
factors of avoidance when it comes to exercise related acne
prevention.
And know what? Your mom was right! You really should get out
of those wet clothes!
No matter which way you are exercising, be it your bycicle,
the tennis court, a treadmill, trail or running path, do not
sit or walk around in your sweaty clothes or wet bathing suit
after finishing with your exercise.
If possible at all, take a shower
immediately after exercising and slip into dry clothes
even before driving homewards. If this is not possible, do
at least wipe down with a towel and change into a set of
dry clothes as soon as you can.
It is also better to use a clean towel for wiping sweat away
from your face and rather blot gently with it than performing a
wiping movement. Extensive wiping can irritate your skin, and
drive make-up and other particles deeply into your pores.
